New in our webshop: BIO saffron bulbs!

In addition to our traditionally grown saffron bulbs, we now also sell organic saffron bulbs.
The difference between these two types of bulbs is that our organic Crocus sativus bulbs are being grown entirely organically.
This means that during the cultivation of these bulbs, we don’t use any chemical crop protection and artificial fertilizers. Weed control is also performed mechanically and manually.
Organic saffron bulbs will be delivered with our European organic certificate which is needed by companies which are registered as organic company.
The reason that the organic bulbs are more expensive than the traditional ones is because more man hours are needed to be able to offer you a beautiful and healthy product.

Skal Biocontrole

In order to guarantee you, as a customer, that our organic saffron bulbs are also genuinely organic, we are a company affiliated with Skal Biocontrole that is committed to supervising the demonstrable reliability of organic products in the Netherlands.
Inspection and certification by Skal Biocontrole is carried out in accordance with European regulations: (EC) Nr. 834/2007, (EC) Nr. 889/2008 and (EC) Nr. 1235/2008.
This has as a consequence that the entire production process of our organic crocus Sativus must comply with the statutory regulations, which are determined by the European government.
